Single (uh... duh!)

Alright I'll admit it. I occationally read the personals on Craigslist - just for fun. I don't expect to meet the woman of my dreams over the internet or anything like that - in fact, I think that's kinda weird and one example of how out of touch people are these days that they need to get on the internet to meet people. I read them because they can be funny.

Just now, I was reading a post from a chick - she gave a short description of herself and specified "single"... Isn't that sort of assumed when you write a personals ad? Of course they sometimes are not single and such must be specified - maybe they're married and just looking for a little fun on the side or something.

Front Desk Girl

Ok, so I've been in a lot of hotels in a lot of places in the last year or so. Occasionally there'll be a decently hot chick behind the front desk. But I've never really paid much attention to them (except to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the feminine form).

Right now, I'm in some podunk town in Kentucky.¹ The front desk girl here is pretty hot - and she's a pretty big flirt. I'm sure that nothing will happen.² I think she's married and I know she has kids. And I can't be messing around with girls when I'm on the road - I'm just not that kind of guy.<sup>3

1. This is a dry county - I didn't even know that such a thing still existed. It would be possible to get arrested for bootlegging here.

2. Nothing will happen because I won't let anything happen.

3. Not meaning that I don't want to mess around with girls - but I have personal convictions against one night stands and such.</sup>
