well, the whitewater company doesn't really want to pay me to watch the Bed&Breakfast - probably 'cause they lose a lot of money here in the off season. People still come by, but not very many or very often.
So I may not be able to afford to stay up here very long - may have to go get a real job in Tacoma or Everett or somewheres.

It always pisses me off when prospective employers aren't forthright about their interests. I recieved an interview with a bank manager after applying as a desinger/mathmatician. The ensuing interview seemed to have no other purpose than fufilling the manager's idle curiosities about why a programmer would apply to work at a bank. On top of that, he had me fill out an application and then ran a background check on me. Including driving time, he probably wasted over three hours of my time. However, from our earlier discussions, it sounds like you lost more than that just driving.
